Creases in the earlobe=heart disease ????

ALRIGHT MAM, WHERE ARE YOU, I AM PICKING YOU UP IN TWO HOURS! (juuuuust kidding, but I'd sure like to!)

Shortness of breath, arm pains, neck and jaw pain(not consistently but often), heart flutters or whatever they call that, and extreme fatigue

It is POSSIBLE that these can be caused by anxiety, arthritis, too much caffeine, or plain old fatigue. Arm pains can be due to heart trouble or many other things. Neck and jaw pain too. Heart flutters can be nothing or serious.

BUT I would not even hope to pretend to guess.

You know, when folks have a special needs child, they often say, 'I'll take care of me later, my kids need me first'. When they're not taking care of the special needs child they're trying to make it up to the other kids. That doctor appointment, that dental work, keeps getting shoved into the background. Sometimes out of pure necessity. There just aren't enough hours in the day to get it all done.

Most heart problems are very treatable. Or you may find out these are all due to fatigue and stress....EVEN IF IT'S NOT YOUR HEART...YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. YOU NEED TO DO THINGS TO DE-STRESS, TO RELAX, EVEN TO HAVE ALONE TIME, WHERE YOU JUST PAMPER YOURSELF A LITTLE. YOU NEED TO HAVE FRIENDS WHO YOU JUST HAVE FUN WITH, AND MAYBE GET AWAY FROM YOUR CARES FOR A FEW HOURS.

SO DO IT. Go to the doc, get checked over, and take good care of yourself.

Thanks WC for your advice. It's also hard to find that extra $$ to pay for the office visit and then the lab work, etc. It's everything you said and then some. We used to live next door to a family that had a special needs son who passed away at the age of 33 about 5 years ago. Anyways, the mom fixed dinner for everyone, made sure they all ate and then she would eat by herself and then do the cleanup and all. She got no help with anything, even the son (1 of 5 boys)no one would help with him. Her teeth were all rotted out, she wore the same clothes all the time, didn't bath as often as needed, etc. You know I would look at her as we were talking over the fence and think "Oh my gosh, why would she let herself get that way?" My teeth are not rotten by any means, and I don't eat alone but as the original post stated, there are parts of me that are going to heck in a handbasket. And now I understand how she let herself go. Sad.

I know. I applied for insurance tonight so we just need to wait and see if we get it or not. I miss the days of being employed and having insurance for us all for $160/mnth, $5 co-pays....Oh the good ol'days. And yes this gettin old stuff STINKS!
