Creating Experimental Black Crele Chickens (Different Genetics, new variety)

Pics
Shank Feathering is a polygenic trait, and while there are about two documented genes for it, I am sure there are a few other recessive ones never mentioned but exist in fully feathered shanks
Will the feathers stay, or go away?

I have a keen eye! and yes they will go away as the chick mature
Okay, thanks. Just never seen that happen before. I do have a silkie chick that has feather quills that are starting to curle upwards like a sizzle has. I don't own sizzles.

Omg I love genetics

I just incubated some eggs last month and I am having some hatch on the 29

The Roosters I have are
Full blooded Cuckoo Maran
1/2 Cuckoo and 1/2 Black copper Maran or Black Maran IDK Which black he has but I would assume Black Copper because he has one gold hackle on his neck

The hens are
Cuckoo Maran
Black Copper Maran
Black Maran
I had 15 chicks
2 - 5 are full blood cuckoo -
6 - are dark cuckoo/crossed with some black or from the cross rooster
2 - are Black Copper
2 - are Black
Now I went to the chicken calculator it was showing some of these results is this possible in this crossing?

Looks possible. I used that calculator before for one of my crosses, it gave me different outcomes rather then the actual results I got from the breeding.

I look at the results for your Buff Orpington/Barred Rock crossed with Buff Orpington/Australorp. and there are so many results.
What type of crossings do you have and how big is your flock?

My adult crosses, or my chick crosses? It's a small flock of 8 in the standards coop. Planning to do some expanding of the coop, since we're going to have a bigger flock this year.
