Creative Coop Names

My neighbor dubbed ours "the Hen Hilton".

I was planning to make ours "The Hen Party" but I haven't really decided for sure yet.

I briefly pondered 'Tweety's Farm', which is a Chicken Run reference. Surely I'm not the only one who loved that movie? You remember, claymation done by that Wallace and Gromet guy. had a great line in it: 'That ginger one, she's the leader!'. We have a ginger one, and sure enough, she's the leader, always trying to escape.
The name I settled upon was a way to thumb my nose at my jerk neighbor. He must have overheard me talking about chickens, and got upset, so he stormed over and tried to intimidate me into not keeping those 'dirty, smelly birds'. I told him I wasn't building a chicken coop, but was instead building a tool shed.
So now I plan on mounting a plaque over the door that reads TOOL SHED.

We decided just this morning to name ours "Flown the Coop"...

...our coop is a coop that isn't really a coop. We built a 'chicken room' inside of an exsisting barn. Been slowly working on it to get it finished up and had just been proping up a piece of ply wood as a make shift door since it just opens up into the tack room any way. We'll yesterday we finally got their roosts in and one of them got up on the roosts and then with the extra height decided to fly over the ply wood. So when I went to turn lights out for the night one of the chicks (going on 13 weeks old now) were missing. We looked for about 15 mins before I found her nested down in and under a pile of empty feed backs (I save them to use as garbage bags in the barn) I had stacked up at the end of the hall. So this morning we were talking about it and between the idea of not having a traditional 'coop' the hen getting out gave us the idea... Any way, sorry to ramble, just wanted to explain how we came up with our name.

I think now one of my future hens will have to be named Miss Mona. Must find a pretty, chesty, blonde one!

Of course, she'll need her Ed Earl...
