Ted, I'm not sure what is going on there. I can't see any reinforcing steel at the cuts and those tires look pretty wide, wide enough for two hens to share one. I don't think those are regular car or truck tires. Maybe some type of balloon tire for lightweight equipment for sand or soft ground.I would have thought the lack of front perches and narrowness would deter but the hens in this picture seem to think otherwise...
You read on here all kinds of things that you have to have or that won't work or what is best. The chickens obviously don't read that stuff. They certainly don't follow our rules.
We see all kinds of cute coops, runs, and sometimes nests on here. Some really cute coops. That's not my idea of art but it could be for someone. Or maybe they are just into recycling. Maybe they are trying to get a photo in some farm or homestead magazine. No idea. It obviously caught your eye and several others. Mine too.
I don't think that is photoshopped, I'm often suspicious about stuff like that. I'm generally wiling to believe my eyes rather than someone over the internet or even in person tells me. So in spite of what you read on here that they have to have perches or ramps, well maybe not.
