With books clenched tightly in one hand, a young teenager stood just in the courtyard of the school, slowly and gingerly toeing closer, aloofly glancing around him. The sounds of bickering could be heard by his keen ears from afar, and the very thought sent a very subtle shudder down his spine. This was a strange and foreign place, far different than that of where he came from. He'd had incidents with bullies then, ones that attempted to emotionally mutilate him - his imagination, as always, wandered; he didn't dare toy with what the bullies might be like here. As valiantly as his mind fought their sharp tongues, he couldn't help but let it get to him at times. That was why he was homeschooled prior to this.
He still didn't quite fathom where exactly he'd been shipped off to. When he'd ask his parents, they'd simply exclaim, with an enthusiasm unusual to them, "It's a surprise! You're going to love it there!"
His dense, brown, and subtly curled hair billowed up in a gust of wind, to which he furrowed and blew out of his face as he warily watched the building with his oddly silver eyes.
