Credit card debt?

Yes I have a couple. A Capital One card and one for the vet, I think that ones a Matercard, not sure though.

I hate to say it, but yes I do have a little bit of debt. I was young and stupid and didnt think about my actions. I got a great paying job and thought I would get a credit card. Why not? At the time I had a great job that I could pay it off each month. Well long story short..I lost that job and wasnt able to find one as fast. So I was having to use it to pay for a few small bills here and there on the house. Meanwhile trying to go to college full time as well. I few more stupid mistakes..so I am paying for those mistakes now. Slowly but surely Im paying it off each month.

I do not. Made no sense for me to have one, since I was a SAHM for the last 6 years. And am now a SAHM again due to the people making crappy choices.

My dh does. Yes he has a "balance" on it. But his owed amount is lower than 2Grand. We do not use the cc(has been chopped up) and are just paying it down

yes we do !! And use it for everything !! gas, groceries, power bill, doctor bills, phone, satalight, cell phone, insurnce . And we have a whopper of a balance each month but... we PAY IT OFF EVERY MONTH !!!! NEVER HAVE WE PAID THEM A PENNY OF INTREST ... HUMMMM I bet they don't like customers like us they don't make not one red cent off of us !!!

DH and I do not. We do each have one supplied by my mom and dad with our names on them for items such as gasoline, mechanical items. Dad pays the bill each month. They are business credit cards.

I have quite a few all paid off except home depot...I am working on it....we do so much work and building...my husband just built a new goat barn......

Yep, have credit cards

Pay them off most months but not every. Dh was between jobs for 6 weeks (gave notice 11 weeks before new job started, 'cause he's a decent guy), and we used the time to work on the house....used credit cards. That's what they are for, to use as short term loans to yourself. We use them for major purchases, and rarely carry a balance more than a few months.

I simply can't imagine letting the buying get so out of hand that a person has tens of thousands of dollars in credit debt. But renting a car, buying online or by phone, making hotel or plane reservations, or puchasing any large ticket item almost requires a credit card.

Before our bankruptcy 3 years ago we had a citibank visa. It was a dividend card and we got cash back. We paid it off every month. Never over used it. DH had been a citibank customer for like, 20 years, first and only major card he ever had. Even with that, we lost it due to the bankruptcy. (It was paid off) No cards now, just my debit card. And no, the card had nothing to due with the bankruptcy, poor management and bad business decisions with a bad partner caused it.

I'm sure I haven't got a good credit score either, but I don't care. I'm not going to buy a home again (I've been here since 1978, own the house, so if I want to buy, I'd sell this one), I'm with a local credit union where they know me (been with them since 1974), they hold their own mortgages and run their own credit checks, I've had every loan I've ever used with them, and I'd go to them if I wanted a loan - but I don't see that happening. I'm just not the typical American consumer.

You're absolutely right, what's wrong with this system is they want you to mortgage your future to buy all sorts of stuff now, stuff you probably don't need[/] but they hope you think you do.

Yes we have credit cards. Yes there are balances on all of them. Yes they are all being paid at higher than minimum but have caused a lot of gray hairs. Yes I am like the vast majority of Americans. No I am not trying to find ways to have the government pick up my tab. Yes they will probably be used again because that is the way 'm wired.

SHOOT ME.
