Creepy emu problem

The title captured my attention and the following responses just made me laugh out loud.
Animals are so amusing. I was remembering how our female cat used to become so
"interested"

in my husband before we had her spayed. Followed him all around
the house and rubbed up against his legs at every opportunity. Not to mention the
MEOWING. He thought that was pretty creepy too.

Let's be careful out there!

Oh my husband had his fair share of "lonely felines"... when one got on the bed in between us and "begged" for attention I told him that's where I had to draw the line...
Lol.. I called the vet the very next day!

He told me it was no worse than the tom turkey we had that would follow me all around the yard when he was "in the mood" pale faced, strutting and drumming... I can say this much.. it made me a little more careful of how I moved around the feeders when I went to fill them!

@ gryeyes and kacklinkelly- Im glad my emu problems could amuse you

haha. I guess it is pretty funny when you think about it, it scared me to death when she first started doing it though! I thought she was getting ready to attack me or something...

@yinepu So maybe at the end of spring if its anything like Texas, got it! I hope it does end soon, its kind of a strange feeling when you look over your shoulder and see an emu crawling after you!

At least she's not being aggressive (emus rarely are towards people). They do love shiny things though.. so watches, rings, jewelry of any kind are yummy in their eyes.

Some of mine love hugs.. I have a few that are standoffish and stay just a hair out of reach. So it ill be interesting to see how things change around here when breeding season comes around. Luckily I only have the one female (for now) and all the others are males!

Oh, I hope you are not suggesting that ducksliketoswim hugs the interested emu.

Who knows what will happen from there!
