Creepy phone call, now I'm paranoid! UPDATE: PG 7

Once I was getting weird phone calls. They were a bit about violence, but also sexual in nature. Trying to scare me and others that answered my phone.

One time I answered the phone. Didnt act scared at all. I said,
"How, when, and where do you want to meet me at."
I said it kind of serious like.

Never got the phone call again. I didnt have caller ID then.

I think I freaked out the caller and did the opposite of what they wanted to do. Scare me..

LOL..

I'll definitely look into that. As for guns, we only own a 12 gauge, and I fell in love with a friends .45, and we have been looking into getting one, just waiting for the funds to do so.

Now we have caller ID..

If a creepy call comes in again. We wait for it to call again. Then we answer the phone,

"Kelly's Pool Hall, how may I help you."

Or we use some other name and or business.

It kind of throws them off a bit.

But since you have a business it might now work.

Or say your some security business. They may stop calling then. Make sure you check caller ID and make sure it is that number first before answering like that though.

LOL, the name of our business is Security Storage, and we answered the phone with that and it didn't phase him.

Oh, LOL hubby just scolded me, apparently I have to say it's a Remington 870 Pump action shotgun, just saying a 12 gauge doesn't do it justice

Yeppers I understand your man

The thing with a shotgun is you would prefer they be far away when you shoot them, if they are in a closer range they can then use your shotgun as a weapon against you ~ taking it from you and shooting you or even beating you with it. A .38 is small enough to be put in your pocket and not as noticable

If you like .45's then Taurus makes the Judge its a .45/410 thus letting you use either shells. I got one for my aunt on her walks with her dogs for both creeps and bears

Either way look into the wasp spray and dont shrug off what you feel, if you think somthing is bad or out of sorts its better for you to be safe than for the latter to happen.

LOL

maybe the next time you see that number call. Say your a Security Guard Service.. You rent out guards to businesses. That might throw them off a bit. Funny your called Security Storage..

I dont know. It just sounded like a good idea. Hope you figure it all out.

Did the guy say a name.
If so.
Go through a list of past rental people. Maybe you will come across the name and other info that might help out.

Yah, but they name sounded fake. He said his last name was Moogle. We still looked it up, both through that name and the phone number he called from, but nothing came up in out records.

Gah! So we just had this guy at our Gate wanting in for info on Storage units, so I let him in, and something about him just gave me the creeps, and his voice reminded me of the guy that called the other day, except that I could understand this guy. But I just had an off feeling about him. He asked prices and got mad when I told him there was a deposit for every unit, he thought I had to be kidding, and when I told him no, he would have to pay first months rent and $30 deposit he said for me to just forget it then, and he turned around and walked out. I'm worried that I am freaking out about every creepy person that walks in here, and my town has a lot of creepy people!

So we just got a call from the Police, and apparently they are now seriously looking into it, and they were surprised about how much info we already had in the guy. DH didn't tell me this until now, but our business manager found his name, and address by doing a reverse search of his phone number. I guess the other day another woman made a call to a local number that she got from either a Craigslist add, or a posted add on a local bulletin board, and within 20 minutes she had a rash of these harassing vulgar phone calls. The cops think this is a local guy with a Cleveland Ohio cell phone, and they think her is getting people numbers when they call in response to his craigslist adds. We use cragslist all the time, both buying and selling, but we haven't used any local bulletin boards. DH told the cop to go ahead and drop by to get the info from the website we found, and if they find a suspect I would be happy to take a look at him to see if I recognize him.
