I have a little Polish/Appenzeller X that seems to have problems because of her crest. The rest of mine are able to be trimmed so they can see, but this young lady’s feathers seem to grow in such a way as to go straight into her eyes. She holds her head funny in an effort to see what she can, but I question whether that’s much at all. I suspect she’s close to blind if not completely. In addition, her eyes are teary and irritated. My question is, trim daily (as soon as the feathers start to come back they curve right into her eyes) or let them grow and use a band to pull them up and away from her eyes?
