crested white duck, welsh harquins, golden 300

even tho they are a small duck they dont fly and they are scared flighty not mean and my ten year old sister did fine and so did my two year old cousin the ducks were more affraid of them than anything but ya no two crazy kids can do that but they were always the ones to throw up when i pick them up because they were sooo scared!! but they werent bad little guys i only had two and they were drakes but i had no probs with them and they were from Metzer

Mine don't seem flighty to me at all, so I guess it's luck of the draw. I never had anyone of either variety throw up when I handled them. They're not imprinted so they don't *like* me touching them or anything, but they'll come right up and eat out of my hands. My kids actually like the Goldens better, they talk a lot and have very up-front personalities while the WH females are kinda drab in comparison. My own favorite is one of the WH drakes; he's always first to explore my fingers and clothes looking for food.

I think this is going to be a whopping case of YMMV.

will they imprint if i allow them?
and what is ymmv?

They will, but you'll have to work at it if you have a bunch of them. I've managed to imprint one or two out of groups of five or more by spending alone time with each "special" bird. Rainplace just got a pair of WHs who seemed pretty darn imprinted the last I heard of em... *diiiigs* Ahh, found it! https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=277063 Turnover sure is fast on this forum.

YMMV = your mileage may vary
