His legs are gray and purple-ish, and his comb is V-shaped as far a I can tell. It's still pretty small.
He was supposed to be an Australorp hen... so much for the feed store.

And, yes. His floppy hair-do is one of my favorite things about him. He looks especially good right after a bath.

But look at how pointy his crest, hackle, and saddle feathers are!!!! I'm voting a rooster.... but everyone has an opinion.

Wait... a SHE? Really?
That would be wonderful!!!
But how can you tell?

I hope I don't sound like a complete idiot, but he's been crowing with the other roos in the morning and I just assumed that meant he was a he.

This was my founding roo...A HUGE mass of a bird. Not the best crest...but all other aspects he was very good....

You can see how he's got the flowing crest, rather than a globe looking one....

People have introduced Polish into the Creve lines to try to improve their crests...but unfortunately, it has cost the Creves in type. They should be massive (meaty) birds with shorter legs, wide chests and red (or pink) earlobes with laid-back personalities. The ones nowadays are too light in build, too leggy, flighty and most have white earlobes.

Hence why I said from the looks of it

The neck "break" to me is the only dead giveaway on cockerel, but I don't even know how old s/he is.
