Just bought a 50# bag of crimped oats for my birds. Can anybody tell me if you can feed them dry to your flock or must they be cooked? I was feeding cooked oatmeal for them in the morning but that was getting to expensive.

I soak my crimped oats in a bucket of water with ACV for 2-3 days. They absolutely tear them up!
Mine refuse to eat dry crimped oats but love rolled oats just fine. And of course, oatmeal with scrambled eggs!

I always feed mine dry out of ease, they really like em. I have had no problems at all.

So can you feed whole oats or crimped oats to domestic turkeys? I have been feeding a mixture of all flock feed and pellets with some scratch, but heard the oats would be good for them. Just want to make sure I am feeding them properly.
