I have a two day old chick who is for lack of better term crippled. Chick has one leg longer than the other - one drags behind - other may be shorter than normal. Chick struggles to move but gets to food and water. My husband says let nature take its course. I have it in small carrier with one other small two day old chick. Not sure what to do My heart hurts for the chick as I don't think it can ever join flock.

Poor little thing! You can see what happens with its development and may end up with a nice chicken that learns to overcome its disability...or you can cull the chick. It's a tough decision, isn't it.

Poor chickie. I would help it out as best as you can. Have you brought it to a vet at all, or maybe someone local who is a chicken expert? is it possible the little leg is dislocated or something?
