Crippled newly hatched chick, not sure how to help

I'm new to this site, but not new to raising chickens......however, I've never seen this before, and I'm not sure how to help. The chick is not even 12 hours old but seems to behave normally, but had a few problems from the start. When it hatched, the cord was still attached and ended up dragging it around with it for a while, somehow ended up getting it caked to the tail and I had to clean it all off...the I noticed the feet. It's not able to stand well or walk really at all.....any ideas or suggestions as to what I can do or what's wrong with the little guy will be greatly appreciated!!!

I have the exactly the same problem! To the point! Except mines a duck. Mines acting normal, just ends on its back and can't get up!

I had a chick with the same problem, and I made her the boots described in the thread, and now she is a perfect 6 week old pullet.
