Critique me please. Just finished a little set up with what had in the barn. Is this a good idea?

Looks amazing! Just make sure there isn’t anything on that top shelf you wouldn’t want the birds getting into.

I love it though, looks like it serves its purpose while being accessible for cleaning and gathering eggs :D
 
Like the concept, supplies at your finger tip. Consider putting whatever in the plastic bags into plastic containers, my girls would tear into them just to check it out :( Agree with azygous perhaps adding a dowel or 2x2 piece at the entrance of the upper ones. Nice
 
Thank y'all for the responses , not totally done yet , just been chipping away at it little by little. Any Ideas on what kinds of egg laying hens are good for here in Texas?

Australorps and Easter Eggers do well for me.
 
I don't understand how it is supposed to function as chicken housing<scratcheshead>
Are those compartments all separate?
Pics with doors all open might help.
