Crochet Square Swap - Completed

I notice some people are saying their hands are aching.
A little hint from someone who has bad arthritis in both hands and who crochets and works with her hands a lot.
Hold everything with a light grip. Hold your hook and the yarn and the piece with relaxed hands. Once you start tightning the grip on everything, the stitches will become tighter and you'll make more mistakes and you hands will get very tired.
In other words "LOSSEN UP GIRLS!"
Just take a deep breath and say to yourself "Relax"

Chelly: Are you holding the yarn or the piece with the left hand. If so, lighten the grip a little.

Your thumb maybe doing all the work of holding everything.

Or take 2 aspirin and call me in the morning!

Yeah I'm holding the piece in the left hand, its the odd angle of the thumb having to me almost straight thats doing it.. I'm taking a break now......

I'm afraid you will have to count me out of the swap.

I absolutely cannot get my granny square right. You know, I've probably been shown how to do a granny square two or three dozen times through the years, and while the person is showing me, it's the easiest thing in the world, but let me stop crocheting and try it again later, and the ability is gone.

The tutorial websites are excellent. I am just granny square impaired.

Whoa!! Before you all bail out, do the stitch you are comfortable with in a 6x6 square. If you can do single crochet, chain across with a G hook about 18 and then do single crochet across the row, chain 2 and repeat until you measure the square at 6x6...easy peasy..try it before you quit....you don't have to do the circle in the middle thing, that is what is killin you I'm sure....build your confidence, do what you know, the single crochet and there certainly are tutorials in video for the single crochet stitch...give it a try...and let me know wednesday for sure...not takin either of you off the list until you try that!!!!
