Someone told me that Walmart was closing out the fabric and such in most of the stores. That will be horrible here because otherwise you have to drive to Phoenix and get stuff.

Jacie

Yea, no kidding. They said it was because they want to cater more toward the people in out area. Duh, We are mostly farming communities around these parts. Grrrr!!!

C'mon girl, do tell!!!!!

I'm an Adventist and go to church on Saturday. After potluck I was working on some charity squares. I do that every Saturday. One older woman object to my doing something pleasurable on the Sabbath so I kindly explained to her it was for a terminally ill cancer patient and she left me alone.

No, no, you're making squares to make blankets for addicts...us!! Chicken addicts.

You're seriously not allowed to do pleasurable things on the Sabbath? I'm not much of a church-goer, but my Nana was, and even though the Sabbath was her day of rest, she always crocheted and knit on Sundays.

It's always interesting to see the differences in religions.

I'm up to 33 squares.

I have 40 squares finished too! Alot of race track hookin yesterday and nearly had an Easter win for a present..Travis waspassing the first place man with two laps to go that guy cut down into him which broke our tie rod and flattened his tire...so Travis and the previous leader finished last, sigh..but, on the good side, he drove a terrific race and had 4000 fans on their feet screaming for him when he passed the leader, that's a good mom moment even if he didn't win...there's always next week!

Jacie I got your squares yesterday morning and they are great..she did 40 squares and the byy one is terific, I will cherish it!

Look at this beautiful granny afghan Herrschner's sells...it will give you an idea of how great they can be put together... I love it and may just order the kit when I get paid again...http://herrschners.com/products/product.aspx?sku=200300

Well, hook on and Happy Easter ya'll!!!! btw..I changed the thread title back so that it wouldn't look like a "comedic adventure".

Oh well, I go to the church of christ with my mother-in-law ever once in a while and thats all you see alot of times is the women in the back 4 rows crocheting or knitting, I seem to get a better grasp of what is being taught and preached when I crochet because I seem to be able to listen bettter with out my mind wondering off to something I might have forgot to do before I left that morning, and I can think better about what is being taught also, at least thats what I think
