Hookin at church, teachin 2 year olds to hook, feeding the buzzards...we are such a busy bunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope that asthma thing gets worked out jc, that really scares me, Travis carried an inhaler when he was little and an epipen, he was allergic to yellow food dye to the extent we had two hospital visits over it with him needing epinephrine and benadryl iv to reduce the swelling in his giant bubba lips..extremely scarey when your child can't breathe...hopefully you son will outgrow the asthma as Travis did and he has some resistance to yellow food dye now...although we try to avoid it but you would be shocked to find out how many foods have it, we avoided soooomny things, like doritos for years..he does eat those now...so hopefully your son will outgrow his problems too, in th emeantime I sure empathize with you, been there, stressed and worried and prayed about that too...anyway, ya'll are the greatest bunch of hookers I know!!! I was looking at felt at walmart to line the bag I will make with my squares but I didnt buy it yet becasue I dont know what color I will border my squares in yet..depends on what colors everyone used the most..I thought the felt would be easy though for a non-sewer. I have made everyone a beaded stitch-maerker to send back with your squares..finihsed those last night and might get two each done..in case you don't know what they are..you just hook it through your loose loop and it should look cute with your work while it keeps that loop from pulling out and unraveling all your work...those will come back to you with your squares...at first I thought I would just surprise you with them but then I figured everyone might not know what they were, lol!!!!!!!!!! I am excited about getting eeryone's squares!! I do plan to print lists with everyone's screen names that does actually follow through and send the squares and then stacking them in the order of the list so you will know who did what. Then, we can worry about what to make out of them!!! How fun is that!!???!!!!!

Wow scrambles that is so nice of you to do that and what a lot of work. I had to read through that about three times to figure out what you were saying, but it makes sense now. I got my animals all fed breakfast now so its off to bed for me. Have a nice day everyone!

LOL!! You are right, confusing!! A stitch marker is used when you lay your unfinished work down and don't want the loop to get pulled and unravel your work. You can buy them on etsy..I had a bunch of beads and wire and made these, they look cute and ya'll can use them if you want..lol!!! Yeah, that wasn't real clear, sorry!! Happy hookin ya'll!!! Rainy and cold as witche's hooters in a brass hooter coverer today!!!

You all are SSOO talented!! THAT was a ONE-handed stork cake?? Double WOW!! I loved it's face! Hope all the parties were a smash!

My brother started the great fence building project for me yesterday, DH had to go work at the drag races. My friend and I took a colt to the trainer.. it was a busy day!

I actually have 39 squares!!! I will do one more....Hooking keeps me from EATING while I am sitting still. The Hooker's Diet!! I'll write a book!! Who wants to publish it??

scrambled I will have them in the post monday morning it should be about 3 to 4 days before they reach you. I like the stitchmakers idea, I have always just used on of my daughters little babydoll hair clippies

well I am going to try a new granny square pattern to day that has a pansy on it, wish me luck, I hope it will come out straight. I know I can do it its just, keeping it square thats the problem, it will come out looking like I had been drinking and hooking.

HAHAHA! The Hooker's Diet! Now with pictures! I bet you'd sell a zillion if you made sure it was one of those with plastic wrap around it so you couldn't see in before you bought it. Maybe they could come in brown paper wrappings. You'd make the best seller list in no time.

I've done 25 now. I ran out of my "normal" yarn and so have made the last ones out of some more, ahem... festive yarn. They are very spring like. I'm sitting here crocheting with just the screen door closed and I can smell the hyacinths and hear the birds chirping away outside. Every now and then a neighbor's cow makes a little noise. Gosh, I love spring!

Shameless plug moment- As if I didn't have enough to do, I've started a blog so I can keep friends and family informed once the chickens get here (coming in April). If you have a moment, check it out and give me feedback. It's still in early stages yet. I'm trying to catch up on my farm saga before I add the chickies! Thanks!

And please, please quit posting pics of adorable and yummy looking cakes! How is a girl supposed to stick with the Hooker's Diet if all we see on here is CAKE?!!! Can't you post some yummy looking lettuce or something?

Yes, we have a Hooker Union, loL!!! During introductions we have to stand up and tell everyone where we've been hooking...can you imagine...church, the library, the couch, the race track, the soccer game....and when asked how we promote our craft, we say...we've been teaching our daughters from as early as 2 to hook and we have one creative hooker who has written a diet book, you'll find it on the corner at the newstand in the brown wrapper....and when things get alittle slow for us we spice it up with a hit and run and a red cast....OMG we are HOOKED on hookin!!!!!!!!!!

..ain't it fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
