Well sorry for not posting for a while I was in the hospital with food posining and a underlining intestal flu virus, not fun at all I passed out twice with it, but after some rest and letting them poke abut a zillion hole in me and tube and 3 bags of fluid I am back on track, I did get about 15 more squares done though, well glad to hear everbody is recovering and doing good and hookin their lives away. MY 2 year old is trying to learn LOL she takes the hool (biggest they make) and then runs it back and forth through the yarn ball and say look moma, all done, another, another.

Wow, I love that teapot cake. I was going to make a big diaper, but my disabled arm made it really hard to do the simple stork. Piping a border was a nightmare. Even so it was a great hit. A kid put her hand in it and messed it up some at the party and after that any flaws were not noticeable! It tasted good and I have some leftovers. My DH's guacamole dip overshadowed my cake. It was like a bunch of buzzards over the bowl. LOL We lured men into the fellowship hall with it. Then solicited money from them for the stroller gift (we got $200!). I didn't get the afghan finished, but I did 2 hats and a set of booties real quick. So yes, I was hooking at church again!

Pray for my son, his asthma is so bad he can barely breath. I am trying to NOT go to the hospital again tonight.

Whew! Two days of hooking and napping and I've got 22 done. Another day of this and I'll get to 30.
I've been running into interference from the cat who is quite irate that "his" lap is being overrun with yarn. Plus he has some weird fascination with the hook. Does make it harder to crochet with a cat gnawing on the end of the hook. He's also chewed up my little wooden 6" ruler. I'm hoping my sizes work out!

I can't wait to see everyone's squares!

here's to keeping everyone well for the next month!

jc glad the party was a success and I hope and pray your son starts breathing better ( its aweful to have asthma) :|

CG that is really funny about your cat-maybe he figures if he chews the ruler you will quit

JC, how is your son? My DD has asthma and I can remember many nights w/ her coughing sounding like a seal, like a croup cough. Hope he's better soon. Her flare ups use to last a few weeks. There not as bad as she gotton older.

WOW Scrambled! Great squares and so many done!!!!! You're a fast hooker!

JC & Mangle~ Those are pretty cakes!!!!! JC, I'm hungry now hearing how good it tasted. Glad it was a hit.

I tried to teach my Cadette GS Troop to hook at their meeting on Fri, but it was useless. I thought hey, I can get some granny squares done while they learn.......NOT! I ended up demonstating, hold needles or yarn....it was not pretty. Some of them were at least able to get the chain stitch and made some lumpy bracelets. They had fun though.

To cold to hook at dd soccer game today, but I've done a little tonight.

I'm so glad we have until May 1st. I have the required 20, well 22 to be exact, but want to make at least enough for everyone.

How in the heck do you switch colors without having a lumpy knot? I may have to do a few over b/c the color transition was not smooth.

OK, off to bed, b/c I want to go to the Waterloo, Il SWAP meet it starts at 5:30am. Why o why are they all soooooooooo early!!!!!!!

OK...Off to the swap I go. My excuse is that I need to make connections to sell any excess I hatch. At least that's what I'm telling everyone. I have my coffee, flashlight, cold $$$$$$, and boxes, dressed warm & umbrella. Wish me luck!

Man, I'm tired!!!!!!!
