Apparently I am impaired as well, geez!!!!! Can we do what we know as long as it ends up a 6' square???????
Whoa!! Before you all bail out, do the stitch you are comfortable with in a 6x6 square. If you can do single crochet, chain across with a G hook about 18 and then do single crochet across the row, chain 2 and repeat until you measure the square at 6x6...easy peasy..try it before you quit....you don't have to do the circle in the middle thing, that is what is killin you I'm sure....build your confidence, do what you know, the single crochet and there certainly are tutorials in video for the single crochet stitch...give it a try...and let me know wednesday for sure...not takin either of you off the list until you try that!!!! You can do it!!!!
Yes, do what you know, just don't quit!! Do the whole 6" square in whatever stitch you know, not a problem, that circle center of the granny square is what is causing the problem here I'm sure. Just forget that and do what you like, it won't be any fun if it's too hard. I have a camera problem or I would post a picture of my square (lost all 19 of my race track pics today and my square picture, drat, drat, drat!! stupid camera). Anyway..mine is a "v" stitch. 6" square. Do what you know and what you like, this should be fun not aggravating, so pick an easy stitch that you are comfortable with and use that one. The site Ozark mentioned and the stitchguide.com site have instructional videos and that is how I learned in the beginning, very helpful to see the stitches being made. Just yell if you need help, Darlene
