I'm not a hooker because it's just not relaxing to me but I may try to endeavor making pot-holders. Don't laugh ladies it's a huge step for me! LOL I'm enjoying watching all the "pretties" you ladies make and love to cheer you on. Can't wait to see what you all come up with in the fall.

You now ummm.....if we had a idea that we are going christmass or your choice now, those who want to make fancy sqs would have ALLLLLL summer to work on them with out the dead line over there heads.

My vote would be hookers choice. There are so many shades of red and green they may not blend well!

No wonder you are so relaxed and can't handle hooking.

OK, just kidding.

I have too much TGIF-itis to function normally today ~sigh~

I'm cracking up, as usual! I WISH I were relaxed! I'm a nurse and the stress level is beyond description most days. I've just learned to function in dysfunction! LOL If I were relaxed I could hook but I end up throwing the yarn up against the wall or on the floor to stomp on! LOL

I couldn't find the thread. I thought it got erased & that we were all in trouble. Whew! I've missed so much. I have so many pages to read. I've kinda skimmed through them.

Did ya'll think I got lost in the back woods of Colorado?

Sorry, but things have been hectic here as they always are in the spring. We got back late Tue night and my dd highjacked my computer for a few days to finish a project. We had her Confirmation rehearsal on Wed night & Confirmation ceremony last night. Wed was also day 18 for my 2 lonley BO eggs and I was struggling to get the humidity up for the hatch.

Today is day 20 and nada thing.....no rocking, no peeping, no pipping, NOTHING!!!!!!!!!
barnie.gif

I did some hookin in the mile high skies on the way there, some at the cabin, some on the way home, and some at church Wed night at the Confirmation rehearsal.

So we have a pink light now? How about a pink & purple lava lamp?

You can count me in for the fall swap. Maybe someone can help me learn a new pattern.

We had a great trip! Colorado is just gorgeous!!!!! We had perfect skiing weather. I took a big spill the second day. We were so amped up that we pushed to hard without taking enough breaks. At first we just did the same run that we learned in our beginning class the day before, but the next time up my daredevil DH wanted to try to take a diff green, so we did....but it didn't take us down to the bottom. It was just a a side run, so we had to get on the lift and go all the way to the top. It was a crazy green run where all kinds of runs merge and I tumble and ate the snow w/ my face. My gear was flung out in a line. Some guy came by as I'm pulling myself back together and asked if I was having a rumage sale.

It was really funny. I'm really lucky I didn't hurt anything. My skis were off, broke my new sunglasses, snow all in my hair and down my back.

I had to play leap frog between all the crazy snow boarders to get to the side to get my skiis back on. Whew! I was so tired by then. We were trying to get back down the mountain for the next step up from the beginners class. The only good thing at the moment was that they were playing "The Cure" music over the intercome. All in all we didn't do to bad and dh says that I should rent a helmet next time. LOL!!!!

Needless to say, we didn't make the next class. My legs were burnt by the end of the day. I was lucky to have the strenght to get down the rest of the run to the bottom. I think we skiied for almost 4 hrs w/ only a small break for lunch at the chilli hut on the mountain. I'm crazy enough to want to go back and get more abuse.

One of the funnest things was sitting in our hottub spa with at least 5 feet of snow around us soaking my muscels in hopes of not getting soar. I never thought in a million yrs I'd be in a hot tub outside in 30 degree weather with snow outside.

Gotta go check the dud eggs!

well I have changed my mind about what I am going to do next when this swap is over, I have decided to crochet my chickens some life vest and a really big sail to put on top of the coop so that my chicken won't drowned and the coop with float away instead of sink, I swear with all this water thats what I will have to do. As it is I had to build stands to put my coops on so that my chickkidies arn't standing around in water and mud. And I will have to make my silkies little rubber boots or put doll shoes on them so that their feathers will stop getting muddy and clumpy. Either that or put hair bows in the feathers lowest to the ground.

l, I've been hookin' in THree states!!! We had to run to Mississippi for a funeral...

We tried to bring Oreo, but got to Houston, and he seemed SO miserable that we stopped at a vet and had him euthanized... The vet agreed that he must be really old, and my horse vet had said the day before that this problem would only re-occur....

I am on the road home now! I hope my son puts the sponge in the 'bator tonight like I asked him to!! My eggs are on day 18!! Hope some of those Doms hatch!!

Mawchickiddie--- My brother collected your eggs, but I could not go get them to send because of this funeral....I'll get them out to you the first of the week!!! Course, they might have to float there, from the sound of it! Take care, hope everyone is all right!

Nancy

Okay, I will admit I lead a double life! Legal secretary at big downtown law firm during the week - poop shoveler on the weekends! Hooker all the time.

My sister and I don't shear the alpacas, we pay the shearer to do it (we help). If I could shear the alpacas in a single swoop I could quit the secretary job and make lots of money! I do pluck the angora rabbits every three months - no it doesn't hurt them they sort of molt and you can just pull their fiber out. We sell the angora fiber to a lady who has it processed with her alpaca and it makes some really nice yarn.

Will be at the farm cleaning and plucking the rabbits this weekend, also cleaning the barn, giving the pacas their monthly shots and stacking hay and hauling feed to the barn. Sounds like work, but it is soooo much better than working for a bunch of attorneys - it is my dream job! Then Monday am I will be all dressed up and back in the legal secretary mode.

Maw, so sorry to hear about all the water - Northeast Ohio is supposed to get the storm tonight, and then it is going to go from 70 (right now) to low 40's tomorrow and snow on Sat. night and Sunday.

Well, back to hooking!

Bonnie aka super farm lady (not) or innocent suburban legal secretary (also not)
