Crockpot Incubator Saga III: Shipped Quails Eggs...?!

Pics
annnnd there’s now 9 of them, there’s one more external pip and three other eggs I’m 99.9% sure are dead

Two had their heads stuck in egg shells when i came home. The 5th one to hatch yesterday has spraddle leg, so I taped his legs...

Cool! Are they super fragile right now?
The internet says they are! we’ll see XD

The dead eggs-

Dead egg #1 made it to internal pip, but was malposition with the head at the opposite end of the aircell. Never punctured the exterior shell though it did somehow break the inside membrane...

Dead egg #2 died quite a bit earlier, opened it, and it was watery, so tossed it immediately

Dead egg #3, I was sure was dead on day 12 or so, but never bothered to take it out. Did not dare to open, lol

Oh my goodness!!! They are too cute!! 😍

Here they all are! They are much livelier than day old chicks for sure. Some started eating within hours of hatching.

I got a pretty big variety of colors... I’ll probably post on the quail forum eventually to see what they would look like as adults.

Is this one going to be black when it is fluffed up or really dark brown?
i don’t know how to describe this color, ahaha
