Crocus blooming & Chicks ordered in Maine!

Good afternoon from Beautiful Bath, Maine. I just ordered my first- ever Chicks! The brooder is built out of old parts and carried up from the basement. The coop is growing slowly (the foundation stones frozen in the icy mud right now). I haven't taken care of chickens in years and years, and NEVER all by myself from the chick stage.... HOORAY, Spring is coming, welcome new life....

This is the feeder I made. In the background you can see my brooder, with parts from an old roll-top desk, a couch, an office chair, a lazy susan, and various other bits and pieces. It has a little electric heater cave and an adapted guinea pig or rabbit waterer. YAY for REPURPOSING from new member Joannimal!
