I have two wellsummers in our new flock and really like them. One was born with a twisted neck unfortunately. It turns at a right angle to the left. I gave her vitamin e and selenium twice a day as a chick for 3 weeks, but it didn't help. She's doing better now, at almost 5 months old. She can look to the right a bit now and doesn't have any problems hopping around, though she is smaller than her sister. She doesn't try to fly at all, which is fine with me. She's cautious and stays well in the yard, so I don't worry about predators getting her (we have goat protectors ;-).
Has anyone had this problem before? If so, did the babies from the hen have the same issue? I am hoping it was caused by just being in the egg wrong, as I really want to breed my Wellies.
Thanks!
Here she is October 27th. She had to twist her head upsidedown to look to the right for a while.
Here she is just last week, looking around much better.
