Crooked Coop

It looks like you plan to twist the roof boards into place. I'll shut up and watch. You obviously know what you're doing and I don't want you to think I'm judging you. I'm just a smart***.

May the carPENter Gods be with you!

Looking forward to more pics.

I like your crooked coop. I am rather amused by it.

I wish my DH would have known that I like them crooked.

I cheated some in that I drew the whole thing up in CAD so I knew what most of the challenges were going to be before I started, but cutting a trapezoidal bottom panel just felt wrong.

Using technology is not cheating! Kinda like using a hammer vs. a rock.

I hear on those trapezoidal cuts.

Umm, looks good I think lol. It would be much easier to build on accident than on purpose, I'm sure. Looks good so far, waiting for updates.

I keep telling my husband square is over rated. I did my best to square up the posts for my run-in shed he wouldn't help me with and boy did I hear it form him when He had to help put the roof on. It all works out in the end and so what if the sides are different sizes so long as it keep the weather out and chickens in.

Awesome! Can't wait to see the finished product either!

I agree that drawing it in CAD first isn't cheating. Knowing how to use CAD is hard enough on its own!

Is this curvy coop for curvy chicks so they can lay curvy eggs? I love the idea!

Does it count if you didn't PLAN it to be crooked?

After all, it's a chicken coop... not the Taj Mahal!
It annoys me every time I look at it, and when we added an addition, well that was even MORE fun! I keep repeating it's a chicken coop... not the Taj Mahal; it's a chicken coop... not the Taj Mahal
Trim covers a multitude of sins.
