Crooked neck and seizures? Someone help please?

Put the vitamins directly in the water. It sounds like a nutritional deficiency to me and with the vitamins in the water for a week or two, you should see dramatic improvement. I would continue to keep them separate and make sure they are able to eat and drink enough until resolved.

I'm so glad to hear they are getting better. The vitamins alone usually will work.

I'm afraid you misunderstood my post, it's the Vitamin E gel capsules - just cut off the top and squeeze out the goop and they will eat it - or at least Ruth loved it. I'm so sorry you have been looking for powdered Vitamin E because I don't think there is such a thing.

Since they had gotten twisted it will take a few days before they seem totally fine but keep up the vitamins - both Poly-Vi-Sol and Vit. E for at least a couple of weeks or it may come back on them.

Well, I've got them on the poly now and I'll get some of the gel caps tomorrow. I'll get the lowest mg I can get. Thank you all very much for your speedy responses. I'll keep you updated.

* There may be vit.e in Poly-Vi-Sol already. Double-check the box b/f buying more. Most vit.e is in an oil-based transport agent, so I would mix it with food rather than water. The lowest capsule dose you are likely to find is 1oo iu, but 4oo iu is the commonest dose. That would probably be enough for a month's suppy of feed. You could dilute 1 capsule into a TBSP. of oil and get a more reasonable dose for such tiny critters. Diluted this way, they'll still only need a drop or 2. Vit. E is a potent blood thinner, so make SURE there's nothing around that they can get hurt on, O.K.??? And, don't let anyone handle them that may not be SUPER gentle with them, say like little kids. Even a bruise could be serious on vit. E . . . Lastly, as an oil-based supplement, vitamin e doesn't leave the body as fast as water-based vitamins that pass the excess out in the urine, so they may not even need to have it dose every day. In fact, for such youngsters, you might do a mon-wed-fri dose & drop wkends for safety.

Yes, they are eating and drinking well. The poly does have vit-e in it, but very very little. 5 IU I will pickup the lowest I can find today as well to give them a little more. Thanks!

I was giving Ruth most of a capsule. Dlhunicorn is the one who gave me the Vitamin E advice. She is our resident "Expert". There are also threads and advice about combining the vitamin E with selenium to help absorption of the Vitamin E but I didn't give selenium and I don't think many others did either who have successfully treated crook neck using Poly-Vi-Sol and Vitamin E.

Good luck. Feed them some scrambled egg for the extra protein and vitamins.
