Crooked toes?

Yes. The problem is, where I live feed stores only sell chicken feed in summer. It’s dumb. Chickens eat all year long. So they've been on scratch grains so far. But I am buying normal layer feed for them as soon as it will be in stock again
Is there a way you can order feed online? Also because he is a boy my understanding is he should not be on layer feed bc the calcium level is too high. However when we had our BR cockerel he was on the layer feed with our ladies and I know a lot of people do it for ease. Best of luck.

Yes. I've heard of that but the only feeds that are available here are chick starter, layer and meat bird feed.. And when it comes to ducks, I could only find meat bird feed... So..

Also, I wrote ocassionally because the only time he could have layer was when I didn't seperate them when feeding them or just when he somehow managed to eat with the "big bad bully" hens:idunno

Can you get chick starter year round? If so, I would use that for the chickens. Provide oyster shell free choice for the laying hens.

Chick starter is probably ok for the ducks too, but they will likely need supplemental Niacin. I'm not a duck person, so ask about this on the ducks forum.

They would definitely need supplemental niacin, this could be down with using brewers yeast (avail at grocery stores)
