I thought I would share with you what helped my buff orpington who suffered from crook neck. I tried the polyvisol, vitamin E, and selinium mix. I followed the whole schedule I found on this forum minus the Prednisone. To no avail. I administered the polyvisol and vitamin E for about two months. Poor Gertrude was in very poor shape. I hand fed her oatmeal and scrambled eggs. She could hold her head up for only a short amount of time before it curled totally around and upside down where she would start this repetitive movement almost like a seizure with her head. A friend suggested we soak black oil sunflower seeds in water over-night then crush them with the back of a spoon and feed the mash to her for breakfast and dinner (she also had access to her normal feed). After about three or four days of this diet, she was able to hold her head up and her head was no longer upside down. The turn around was amazing. Her head still leans a bit to the left, but it does not impair her in the least. I have now been feeding her the black oil sunflower seeds for several months and she has not had a relapse. I hope this helps! Good luck
