My little 5 week old hen either has pendulous crop or she got into something that is causing her system to slow.
Last night, she had a HUGE crop that was squishy like one of those gel stress balls and when I picked her up to try to massage it down, she immediately puked it up. It was dark brown and runny, but disnr

I gave her some monistat cream and put her to bed.

Today, she was still squishy around noon but eating furiously like she was hungry. I continued the monistat treatment, and checked her tonight.

Once again, HUGE drooping crop that was swollen.

This time, I made her vomit and what came out was literally the consistency of wet concrete. (It didn’t run at all.) There was a good 2.5 cups with probably another cup still in her crop.

Unsure of what to do, I made a crop bra for her out of a maxi pad and some athletic tape to hold up her crop and put her to bed in my tub.

I will check her tomorrow morning, and hopefully, her crop will clear.

I am unsure what she got into that has slowed her system.

Any ideas from the vomit?

Also, will she outgrow pendulous crop, if she has this?

Check the crop first thing in the morning before the bird has had anything to eat/drink-see if the crop is empty.
Checking at night or in the middle of the day when the bird has been eating - it's hard to gauge crop function.
