I have a chicken that is about 3 years old, she is a golden sex link white leg horn mix (we free range). Last week we were treating everyone for lice and mite and I notice she felt pretty light, like maybe she lost some weight. I turned her upside down for just a few seconds to get her belly sprayed and she did throw up a little. That's when I thought about her crop! It was really full but it was evening....it was hard as a rock. I got up the next day and it was smaller, but still had something in there ( felt kinda like dough) she still wasn't' acting like herself. Yesterday I caught her and put her in a pen with just water, gave her some bread soaked in olive oil. I was thinking it was an compacted crop, but now I'm not sure. When I massage her crop I get a whiff of this smell...smells like rotten eggs, but worse. She hasn't had anything but water all night and most of today ( I gave her more bread soaked in oil) Also there was no poop in her cage which she was in for about 17 hrs. She is drinking. Any advice would be helpful.
