Crop issue- two days after other hens died

Well, I would use some electrolytes and vitamins in her water. She needs some food also, so some egg and very watery feed might be good. Could she have eaten some grasses that have gotten balled up in her crop? Continue to offer the chilled coconut oil. Hopefully, this will sort itself out.

Yes I can do that. I cannot thank you enough. She possibly could have gotten some long grass when I opened the run extension, or when she ate some willow leaves. Oh shoot I just remembered, a sweet family member came to visit the birds the other day and picked some long grass and tossed a handful in not knowing before I could stop her. I immediately told her to rip it up to two inches or shorter but there was a handful of long stuff that made it in.

Ok so I bought the stool softener, do I give her the whole thing? It’s 100mg

Also she’s still very feisty, and eating some mash and I’ve been dipping her beak in water, but she is like hardcore addicted to cold coconut oil….. is it possible for her to have too much? Like I only give her a certain amount at a time, maybe like a tablespoon or so.

Update- I gave her the stool softener last night, and waited thr 30 minutes before massaging, and then when I did it definitely felt more broken up in there than before. I massaged for quite a while, before putting her in the coop, and held a light so she could jump up onto a roost between two of my other hens. No matter how much I massaged the crop still has a good amount in it. I put a clean pan under her spot on the roost to hopefully catch some of her poop, although it wouldn’t be 100% clear who it was from, im pretty darn sure it’s from her. She’s acting normal, and loves to roost with them every night, and is attacking all food offered to her, and is scratching around in her shavings looking for bugs etc. do I give her another stool softener? The crop this morning had clearly drained of any fluid, and just had a hard packed little ball of whatever in it. After I dipped her beak in some water, and fed her Greek yogurt, coconut oil which she absolutely loves, and some of her layer mash, it’s all soft and squishy in there again. Today is Sunday, do i call the vet tomorrow and schedule an appointment? There’s a farm vet who could come day of, but I’m not 100% sure on his experience with chickens, and there’s an avian specialist who I know has more knowledge, but it would take longer to get in, and more expensive. But I’m willing to try either if you think it’s needed. Thank you- pickles

Forgot to post these- her name is Mango, she’s my favorite favorite hen since she’s overcome so much in her short life, and here’s some pictures of her attacking the yogurt and then having a yogurt beard
Pictures also of the poop I believe is hers from off the roost. Everything she has eaten within the last few days has been soaked and mushy, so I’m assuming the loose poop is from that. Well except she accidentally got a small piece of egg shell last night

Can I give her another stool softener? It’s been over 36 hours since she had one last. Again it’s the morning and there’s still a little hard packed ball of something in there. She’s still happy and peppy and ready to go though

She is currently devouring her layer mash, mixed with a bit of greek yogurt, molasses, a bit of epsom salt, and water. She had a seperate container of yogurt, and electrolyte water and plain water.

Update I gave her another stool softener, waited thirty minutes before massaging, and then massaged the crop on and off for 35 minutes. Not a ton of change, but it is very softened and liquidy now. Put her back in the coop with a pan under her to hopefully catch more poop so I can check it in the morning.
@Wyorp Rock do you have any insight?

I guess is it time to get the vet involved? Or is there more I can try?

Crop problems can take a long time to treat. I would just continue doing what you are doing, and check the crop each morning before she eats.
