Hi all. Looking for some advice. I have a chicken who has been suffering from impacted, sour, pendulous crop for a few weeks. I've scoured the forums and Internet. I have done coconut oil and massaging, then on to draining the crop, monistat, vinegar in water, probiotics, make shift bra. We had it down. I kept an eye on her and after the 3rd day of it being empty I let her back out with the flock. Next day we're impacted again and the day after we're full of fluid again.
I spent all morning calling around within an hour drive area around me and no vets will see chickens. I'm squeamish about cutting her open myself. Other than starting back at square one (where I'm at) , any other suggestions?

She is skin and bones but absolutely full of energy and activity. You wouldn't know she had any issues.

If you can get her to eat, try making a mash out of her feed. We do that with chick crumbles but even our adult chickens think that's a treat. Scrambled eggs she'd probably eat too. If not, you're probably going to have to syringe feed her and here's an article that might help. I would wait until she's got an empty crop. Tube feeding is done similarly, but if you want to do that, I'll find you directions.

Here are two excellent articles that discuss crop issues and what to do:
