I have a hen who yesterday I noticed was looking under the weather. She was not eating or moving very much and her neck area was swollen. When I touched it it appeared sponge-like and and she acted like it hurt her. Today, it appears that her crop burst or something. It looks like it's exposed through her skin and it's leaking gravel and things that are in a crop.

Anybody ever have this happen or know what it is and why she got it or what to do about it?

    Thanks

I would think that you should clean the area, possibly flush the crop, figure out a way to close the hole and maybe put her on antibiotics.
