Not sure if I need to worry. My 5 month old light brahma who free ranges and has access to leyena was poised alone in the garden around 11:30am- the time she laid yesterday. She was doing a funny movement in her upper region. It went on for several minutes and I didn't know if she was trying to lay (which she normally does in her nesting box). When I went to see whatup, found her crop to feel like she had an egg in it. I disturbed her funky dance, and she did't go back to doing it. Now she's ranging again, but crop is still big and when I look at her straight on she looks lopsided. I've read about crop impaction and am just wondering if I need to worry. I've not noticed this bulge before, but maybe it's normal? Help. She's my only consistent layer so far (I'm a newbie) and I don't want anything to happen to her.
