I figured out my hen has a crop issue today. She has been acting off for a few days and I noticed last night her crop is full. This morning it was still. Ive done 2 treatments of coconut oil and massages. She passed a little gas. Ive given her a stool softener also after the oil. I made her a boiled egg which she showed no interest in. Am I supposed to feed her the egg? She drank a little water this morning but I don't think she is drinking by herself although she has access to it.
Should I force the issue and force feed the egg? She is really lethargic and just sits with her eyes closed.
I have the miconazole. Should I have that on top of the other treatments??
Her crop seems full...not hard and not watery. No sauerkraut smell. It feels like dough, mushy.
Does it take a day or 2 or is it just pooped out or???
Any more suggestions or is it a wait and see?

I would try to get her drinking water, and Poultry NutriDrench or electrolytes and vitamins can be good. Food can wait a day or so. Massage the crop in a downward motion several times a day. Repeat the stool softener and coconut oil tomorrow (if the crop is still full in the early morning before she eats or drinks.) How old is she? Does she lay eggs? What do her poops look like? Is her lower belly between her legs enlarged at all. Has she lost weight? What do you feed your chickens? Here is a good article to read:

She is 2 yrs. She hasn't laid an egg in about a year. My puppy pinned her under her front legs about a year ago twice but didn't injure her. She stopped laying.Once since then she laid one egg. Her poops Im not sure about as I started treatment today and she free ranges in my backyard.
If feed them lay mash and add some mix with cracked corn and seperate eggshell calcium. Once in a while they get fruits and veggies and dinner leftovers.
She has definitely lost weight!
Oddly her underside by her tail feels like her crop! Round and mushy, doughy. Not big really.

This morning she is still alive but she justs stays laying in one spot with her eyes closed. There is is no change in her crop size after the oil treatments and stool softener. What do I do now? Repeat everything again and again?

If her lower belly between her legs is enlarged like her crop, that sounds possibly like ascites (water belly,) cancer or salpingitis. That is probably why her crop is not functioning well. Unfortunately, those conditions are eventually fatal. I would keep massaging the crop several times and day, and do the oil and crop treatment daily. Will she drink from a cup if you hold it up to her beak? You could try to tube feed her some water or electrolytes if she won’t drink.

She is just laying there with her eyes closed. Ive called numerous vets and emergency clinics to euthanize her and no one will. Maybe next Thursday one said.
She is so far gone this morning I don't even want to stress her out doing all the treatments. Im just trying to figure out how to end it as painlessly as possible if there is such a thing.
Thank you for your help.

If she is that weak she will probably pass on her own. Putting them down is something I had to face when husband was not around to do it. It is never easy, but the quickest method is to use loppers to remove the head. I cut the jugular vein to bleed out. I would try to make her comfortable if possible. Keep her separated so the others do not peck at her, because they usually sense when one is dying.

Is there anything medication wise that I can use to overdose her?

I wouldn’t do that but just let her go or put her down.
Ive called multiple vets and no one will do it. I just don't want her to be suffering. She seems comfortable. Just resting with her eyes closed. Being a pet it's hard to just chop her head off or ring her neck. We only have 6 hens well 5 I guess soon.
Thank you so much. I feel a little better.
I did try a vet that does home visits. Im awaiting his call.
