Crop Surgery?

Okay... the bigger the bird, the larger the crop, so you can safely put more fluid in. Try starting with 30ml, wait an hour and see if it clears. If it does, try more each time. The amount that seems to work for me is about 30ml per 2.2 pounds, but when they're sick, I start small and work my way up.

What if it doesn't clear? I don't think it's gone down since I put the oil in :/ She did pass a *little* grass about 5 hours ago, but no more since.

Water will help move stuff along more than the oil will.

Then I guess I will try the water on top of it and see what happens. Her crop's not terribly huge so I think I can add more. And she doesn't seem to be drinking, so it would probably be a good idea anyway.

It was actually 30 mL. We had the same amount in mind, I guess

Lol, no more oil! Try just the water and see if that helps.

No progress at all this morning. I gave her about 50 mL of water last night, but it hasn't gone down at all. I can't tell if there's no longer a solid blob in there or not because there is so much liquid. She not eating anything this morning. I gave her a raw egg last night because it was the only thing she'd eat. She ate that well, but wants nothing to do with another one this morning. She's so thin and starting to do that poky walk because she's not getting any nourishment. Her poo has completely lost substance except for urates and a little gel. If the liquids were going through, I'd just keep going, but I don't know if I should keep waiting. Not drinking either.

I have had One with a inpacted crop I tried what I was told to do give oil and massage it trying to get it to go down then water but the mass wouldn't go down so then I had to do surgery. It is not really hard but you need two people to do it well at least I did the first time I did this she had a lot of hay inthere and it was not going to move it had some food but mostly hay. What do you have in with your chickens for their nest and in the coop) I took all of it out and then super clued her together. Wonderful stuff that super glue she healed and went one for a few more years. I had just had he in show got a trophy and then she was inpacted again. My husband wasn't able to help me and I was not able to do her on my own and no one else around to help me. By the timeme he was able to help me she had lost a lot of weight she was eating bread ONLY and I knew this was not enough to keep her a.. sorry on the second time I did surgery she had feathers in her crop I followed what I was told hope in the time I had for my husband to help the stuff would go down anyhow she had so many feathers and it was not going to go down I did as I did before with super glue but she wasn't fairing well she had lost so much weight and eating only bread I felt she was suffering and I dispatched her.
I think if you have tried everything and nothing is better you need to do sugery if you have not did it it is a piece of cake as long as you have someone to hold the chicken. If you need to know how to I can walk you through it or I am sure anyone on here has did it and they can wlak you throught it. I hope your chicky is better soon.

I think it's because I haven't mowed my lawn in a while. Things have been going haywire over here :/ There was a solid mass in there when this all started. Their run has wood chips (not shavings) and they only sleep in their coop.
The surgery doesn't seem so bad, but she has a transient arrhythmia that is brought on by stress, so....
A second set of hands may also be a problem, as the hands in question are having their second round of chemo today.
So I take it the super glue stuck OK for you. I heard a few say they couldn't get it to hold because there was too much moisture.
