new to backyard chickens. 1stv post.

If I cross an Ameraucanas rooster with leghorn hens will the eggs be tinted or white? what about a Leghorn rooster with an Ameraucanas hen?

If they are true Ameraucansas they are pure for the blue egg gene and lay pure blue eggs. Crossing them with a leghorn will give you blue eggs.

If they are Ameraucanas from a hatchery they are almost certainly not true Ameraucanas pure for the blue egg gene. Crossing them with a leghorn could give you a wide range of possible egg color. Hatchery Ameraucanas are really what we call Easter Eggers or EE’s. Their genetics are all mixed up. There is no guarantee what you will get.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
