Cross Breeding

The barring should pass onto all chicks to some extent. The reason I asked if they were hatchery americaunas is because they have all sorts of colors. Basically try to picture the americauna(easter egger) with barring, and that is what some chicks might look like. If you go here http://www.the-coop.org/cgi-bin/UBB/ultimatebb.cgi they have a section for genetics, that is where I learned alot about genetics and all that. Also, the book Sexing all baby fowl or something like that has alot of sexlinks. Hope that helps.
 
i had a bantam barred rock roo and my brahma went broody of a bunch of mixed eggs and the 4 that were his (3 roos and 1 pullet) all had his barring. one was a brown leghorn and the other 3 were buff brahmas mixes. but on the roos, they all have a few feathers that are orange like the leghorn and brahmas roos hah it looks kinda funny.
