yes Karen you are correct if you want a good quality dog food you have to go to a vet they sell U.S imported dog food by the kilo any other place and you don't know what you are getting they open the sacks and break it down into kilo packs as for my live stock feed is a totaly different story locally the laying feed is horrid low in protine so my feed consumption was off the charts and I had to supplement for my hens I keep about 50 layers I found a feed mill down in panama right on the border that mills a good layer feed so I went down it's about a three hour drive and bought 600 pounds and just got all my birds switched over to it and I am seeing a improvement but there is no local tsc where I can go pick up a sack of calfmanna or purina and the likeHey, pollo Rey, got a question bout Costa Rica. In a lot of other countries that aren't covered with supermarkets pet food like dog and cat and bird is sold at the local tiendita out of a huge bag and you just buy what you want. Is this the same where you are? And if you want a large quantity of livestock feed you have to know someone and/or you may have to travel to a feed store.
Just curious. I have seen bales of Al Falfa for sale out of the back of a truck in remote areas many a time.
