Cross Continental Friends!!!

And to Karen, that sounds about the same as over here to. But specificly for a hybrid chick that bumps the price up a bit. Not sure if you already stated but what kind of chickens do you have?

Megan, can you explain me?

a commercial hybrid (like a Kabir or an Eureka) is more expensive than a pure breed (like an Amrock or a Rhode Island)?

here, it's normally, the opposite thing, and, expect for the small circuit of amateurs, pure breed chicks are almost impossible to find in a store!

so, if you wanna a silkie (moroseta), or a Brahama, or just a typical italian race (like bionda P., Livornese, Siciliana) you've got to surf the internet in search of a breeder, or hope in a big luck, and search it at the farmers market

Something happened over night and I got old and sore! I am limping around and feeling grumpy but then everyone who comes in the store is a GROUCH today, so angry about the rain. I think they should have stayed home or maybe they need more Easter candy to sweeten them up. But someone else I work with brought in cake so I am happy. It is hard to explain but I really love cake because it means a celebration and happiness.
More later, I have to limp out and sell more tomato plants that are likely to freeze and die. It's criminal to sell this stuff so early in spring.

When you said Hybrid I thought you meant something like a cornish cross or a white leghorn or other commercial breed that was bred to produce beyond belief. A purebred chick ranges from 1.50 to 8 dollars depending on breed and gender.

Karen-Sorry to hear you feel unwell! It is getting ready to rain over here right now. And I know what you mean about cake. Nothing like a good one!

Photos, or so I hope!
400

Oh my gosh Karen they are gorgeous!! Is that a Phoenix in the second photo!!?? I really want one of those, thought about purchasing some this spring! Again Truly beautiful!!

the second picture looks like a silver phoenix, about the third, I don't know US selection of Serama got so long legs

I don't recognize the breed of the first one, but, this barred color is really attractive

do you wanna see a picture of the present my little boy give me today?

surfing the us sites, I've seen much of that chicks called Cornish cross, they mix it for make its growth faster?

I would love to see what he gave you!

And yeah the Cornish Crosses are supposed to grow real big and fast but I don't like them much.
