Cross Continental Friends!!!

Okay so I have a question for you all. Any suggestions welcome! A friend of mine has a hen that has no feathers on her belly. She asked me why I thought it didn't and I suggested molting, wearing from laying, mites, feather plucking, and maybe she was going broody. She says that none of these apply. No mites (although I don't think she is aware of the fact that you can't see all mites!) still laying so she isn't molting, no picking, at least not that she has seen, and she did consider going broody but it was only really for a day and there were not any feathers in the nest. So if anyone has any ideas as to what is going on with her hen.....Thanks a bunch!

I would think broody.

if this hen still laying, I don't think it's brooding

some commercial Hybrids (ISA Warren, Harco, Bluebell) still laying even if it's molting time, if had high protein feed

if you can, post a picture, or give us more info

Well the thing is we met because she was wondering if it was broody. She sat for about a day and then quit. She said that it hadn't plucked any feathers but then again she said she wasn't real sure when it happened either. Sorry I don't have much info on it. Her hen is a Lakenvelder and she says it lays daily. I am thinking that maybe she just missed the nest feathers, but wanted to get a second opinion. And she doesn't have the cord to her camera so she can't get a picture! Thanks again for all of ya'lls help. Wish I had more to give.

tonight I can say -:I'm officially a moron-

I've wasted eggs, time and electricity, cause an humidifier's wire interruption, I've killed over 200 prepaid chicks

a man can be foolest?

my incubator was in hatching

yesterday, I opened the machine to get out the first 60 chicks, I've touched the wire who input signal to humidifier, over 200 chicks doesn't pipped out because there was not enough humidity

all of this for a stupid 50 cent wire

Well.....at least you have kittens! I am just joking I don't mean to be insensitive. That really does suck! Once I kept running into my incubator and ended up rattling all the eggs to death!
