Cross Continental Friends!!!

Is salt peter good for plants? I've never heard of that before.
We keep our rabbits in a large wooden cage we made and they stay on the ground and live together buck and does. When there babies are around six weeks old we separate them into feeder cages and finish them out. It's actually a pretty cool sat up I'll have to post a picture of it sometime! What made you decide to free range your chicks?

In summary, the chicks are being pastured because of murder most foul (or perhaps fowl). They were starting to pick and that to me is a management issue. I have them in their prisons now and will be sorting out some sort of horrendous pallet creation coop with a run tomorrow. Apparently the burds need something to do and they get smelly when they are cooped. Hubby is out if town and I can make what I want without him trying to help. To be certain, anything I throw together will look awful but it WILL work. I may prowl around the Internet for ideas.

AWWEEE CUTE!! My mom and I were actually just talking about how adorable baby lambs must be! However I do not envy the long bottle baby road you have ahead of you! Good Luck!!

I probably have more bunnies born this morning and I sold some over the weekend! Twas a very busy weekend to say the least, Saturday was spent with Goats,Gardening, and many other things, Sunday was equally busy! Still waiting on goat baby call! For such a bulging side she sure is taking her sweet time!!

By the end of the day I hope to be nice and tan from all my time spent outside, already been sunburned this spring so maybe I got that over with!?

Karen do you shear your sheep? Not sure why I hadn't thought to ask earlier. A friend of mine has Angora goats and hopefully she will call me when she goes to shear them! If there is one thing I can do that's tackle and pin animals of all sizes!!! I'll hold-she can shear!

Hope everyone has an excellent day!

What a cutie pie! Is it a lamb or a kid?

Busy weekend here, too. Worked the horses and got them all cleaned up, had family over and cooked a Boston Butt on the smoker, went to my neice's soccer game, and took my out and about, wherever he wanted to go - we went to lunch, ran errands, and visited his friend. He is 82 and had a stroke a little over a year ago which left him with limited mobility and some dementia, so he can't do these things alone. Definitely can't drive. He lives in a nice assisted-living place which keeps him safe, but the loss of his independence has really hit him hard.

Our weather is absolutely beautiful. I am starting a routine today (my husband and I are starting to train for a half-marathon), so I am getting motivated for that. I imagine that this time tomorrow I'll be quite sore.

Have a great day, everyone!
