Hi

Thought I'd add a new time zone to this conversation. I'm from South Africa and live in a metropolitan area of about 12,3million people. My husband thinks I'm crazy because we have chickens, rabbits, dogs and a veggie garden that I love. This time of year there are often birds that I'm hand rearing because they've blown out of their nest. This year has been particularly bad because the rainy season has started four months late! (Our first storm today. Yay!!!) I'm determined that my kids don't grow up thinking that food magically comes out of a store.We even take them camping to a working farm on holidays and they feed goats, milk cows etc. I'm kind of short of people here that I can bounce ideas off of (or even of people that understand why I like to live like this)

HI! Are you from South Africa or did you move there? i have many animals as well. dogs, cats, sheep and soon chickens. the rainy season here has not been very rainy in PR either. you should show some of your animals and your garden. my next project is to make a garden.

my internet box broke and i had to wait till i could get a new one. in the mean time i have been working on the chicken coop. so far i have dug all the polls into the dirt and cemented them and now i have to finish the chicken coop polls. i am using PVC pipes for that and instead of cementing them i am just filling the holes with dirt and then i am going to nail boards of wood to it. probably wont be the most extravagant coop but it is going to work for now. the coop has a big run so the sheep can go in at night and when we are gone. all i need to do is put the fencing up and board the coop up.

i picked the two pumpkins that were growing and they were around 10 pounds give or take. i am really not sure i do not have a scale. i just know the biggest one filled up two 1 gallon buckets and a half gallon.

whenever i hear the song "teach me how to dougie" (which i really do not like) i always picture donald trump dancing and singing to the song because he is always saying "everybody loves me" which is a verse in the song. i do not like trump by the way just thought i should say that. but i think i would be so funny to see him dancing and singing the song.
