I spent all afternoon dealing with vendors and plant orders. It's actually fun to spend someone else's money in VAST quantities, eg. I think I will order a $100 ficus tree as a showpiece.... How about 60 $18.98 orchids this week....25 $25 wisteria, sure...
I hope it all works out. Sort of nerve wracking when I have NO history to go by with regards to sales. I am ordering what customers are asking for and what will grow here and what I like.
I took a lot if photos of our place and will put some up when I am not competing for bandwidth.

I know it well. It's trial and error but if they are asking for it then it'll sell. plus I always think well if I like it and can think of a few others that would too then it has to sell! Good luck!

I'm already at work but I'm pretty lucky I can still sneak on here! Whats the weather doing where everyone is? It's still beautiful and sunny here, I'm surprised people haven't started moaning about it yet! The brits moan if it's too wet and moan if it's too hot! Can't wait to get home and see my little ducklings - I'm so sad! I didnt get a chance to have any mint julep thingys however you spell it, I didnt want everyone else to pinch my whisky! Maybe this weekend i'll try it out! Sorry to hear the weather didnt work our for you Tarheel and Megan, glad you made the most of it anyway. We had a bank holiday yesterday so was great everyone could make it over for a birthday bbq.

Well, here it is unseasonably cool, I'm not complaining makes for good outdoor time! Today started out a bit rainy but has cleared up now. Amazing how soon the flying bugs come back though, that's the complaint here in south carolina-the flies and the gnats! They live here in hoards, bracing myself for the mosquitos!! Sorry you didn't get a drink-me neither but for different reasons lol !! Yeah I bet your ducklings can't wait to see you too!

They were properly screaming at me this morning to wake up! So I went down and they got even louder which I didn't think was possible! They'd run out of food. Boo Hoo! Couldnt they have waiting just another ten minutes! I hope they get a bit quieter when they grow up! Can't you even have a little drink when you are at home?

Yeah I can, we actually made wine last year with the grapes off our arbor, That is really good and we have it from time to time. In a way they get quieter and in another way they get louder!! The males will be a bit quieter but the girls whew, when they want something they want something NOW! And then there is there friendly greeting quack....friendly and earsplitting!! But at least they will be outside, that helps!

Oh Yeah and I picked my mushrooms yesterday! Yummy! Now we are re-soaking the bag and going to do it again!
