Cross Continental Friends!!!

Oh well the neighbors are just going to have to groan then! Yeah they were pretty good, actually tasted a bit like oysters!

Okay, here is my attempt at photography. This is our original bird aviary from grandma, built by grandpa. She kept lovebirds, parakeets (budgies, actually) and green nandies, the same type of parrot at Paulie in the movie several years ago.

The original feed shed, currently a tack room and repository of junk and rats

Hubby's pink palace, his workshop and tool shed plus our GI Joe mobile, a toy we don't need but enjoy having.

One of the original houses on the property, stuffed with antiques like the headlight off a steam locomotive and the light grandma, who was a pool hustler, had over her pool table.

Another house, this one was a mobile command unit from early WW2 and sat on the back of a deuce and a half truck. Has a teeny porcelain wood stove inside like a kids toy. Used for tool storage historically, extremely heavy, there it sits as we can't move it.

The mushroom shed. Grandma and grandpa grew mushrooms and farmed worms. We store the boat in it now. Also crammed with generations of old stuff including fishing poles and 1920's lamps from rich Uncle Charley. Cousin Evelyn got drunk and drove into the side one afternoon.

My bunny barn and chicken coop. 2/3 is the bunny barn, 1/3 the chicken coop. Electricity, running water, downdraft swamp cooler for the bunnies in the summer, lights, I am very fortunate.

Our year round creek. It floods every winter and takes random things of ours and gives them to the neighbors. We get random things in return.

Inside of the barn later.

I'm already at work but I'm pretty lucky I can still sneak on here! Whats the weather doing where everyone is? It's still beautiful and sunny here, I'm surprised people haven't started moaning about it yet! The brits moan if it's too wet and moan if it's too hot! Can't wait to get home and see my little ducklings - I'm so sad! I didnt get a chance to have any mint julep thingys however you spell it, I didnt want everyone else to pinch my whisky! Maybe this weekend i'll try it out! Sorry to hear the weather didnt work our for you Tarheel and Megan, glad you made the most of it anyway. We had a bank holiday yesterday so was great everyone could make it over for a birthday bbq.

So because various different Tropical Rainforests are my destination in life, what is the best month to visit the ones in Costa Rica?

At least you get some really good hot weather too, otherwise it wouldnt be tropical. It would just be England mk2! The only thing I know about Costa Rica is that I've seen bananas with stickers saying they are from there!
