Cross Continental Friends!!!

Had a customer come in today and ask if we had Mongolias. Do we have...huh? When approached with questions like this my brain goes into overdrive...Mongolias, did he mean Hmongs, a local Asian group of people? Similar pronunciation...no, not Hmongs, he is indicating he wants a tree...tree? Tree...meanwhile a part of my brain is thinking very unkindly that this guy is an idiot. A little wrangling and with three of us guessing we finally came with magnolias. Mongolians? Huh?

hey Karen have you and the gang at work considered a visual aids board you know like those things you see in government offices I think it could have a great impact on sales you know it can be used to help the handicapped the deaf and most of all the morons ,,,

Hugo the Duck Hen hatched a chicken type chick yesterday. Nobody was too happy. I had a hen who had just hatched out specie appropriate babies and gifted her with Hugo's chick. She pecked my in the hand for the gall of disturbing her family, which was okay as she is a banty and Hugo bites! Too funny!

Karen
Lol! So she didn't want the chick? Do you think she knew that it wasn't a duck?
All:
Not that anyone but me and the local drug stores care, but we had that blast of heat followed by rain and thunderstorms and voila (that's French, you know), my allergies are gone! I can feel my IQ increasing again as the allergy meds clear my system.
You have no idea how happy I am.
I will sneeze mildly for two weeks during the late August ragweed blitz but I am done until next February. Truthfully thankful. Now I can start whining about my sore hip!

Karen
Shockingly full of unexpected energy!

Hi guys how are you?
Sorry I've not been on, we've been really busy and the last 2 weeks my cockerels have been fighting so I'm depressed about that.
they have been fighting through metal wire so one of them has done a lot of damage to himself.

but anyway can some one summarize whats gone on, on this thread?
Hey there Raph! Glad to hear from you, sorry that your having rooster troubles. I have not been on much the last couple of days myself but it would be hard to summarize LOL, mostly random stuff, we have two awesome new members, El Pollo Rey ( who would probably be rather interested to hear about your chicken breeding) and Kimivie. Karen always has new adventures, Beth's ducklings have hatched, Bill is hatching out the last of his chicks and to may other things to right down.

That is a genuinely good idea! Too Funny!

Hahaaa that's so funny. Stupid customers! I get customers that are adamant they've seen something in the shop previously and now want it and it's something we never stocked in the first place!! They don't believe you even if you have been there constantly for the last 9 years!

I went to an 9ammal sanctuary today as we are inntge middle of adopting a couple of kittens. I took some pics, thought you may be interested. Pretty much sums up this part of the UK!
