I have 8 wk old chicks I hatched and am having some confusion
ok so the fist confusing this I’m encountering is the comb of the first chick. The eggs came from our bantam coop consisting of a silver laced sebright and polish along with a blue silkie and white silkie roo. None of their combs look like that. Weird comb cross or something else? Next, a black silkie. We have no black chickens in that coop so why did a black one hatch out? I might sound kind of dumb but this has genuinely got me stumped.I have reason to believe that the gray chick is a rooster and the black is a hen. Both 8 wks old. Thoughts?
edit 1: just found out my silkie roo is a broiler silkie but idk if that makes a difference
