Hello, I got all my chicks at the same time so they're all the same age. They just turned 18 weeks on Monday. I have seven chickens, one rooster and six hens. One of my hens is an olive egger has always displayed dominance over everyone including the rooster who is an orpington (my hens name is Gertrude and rooster is Midas). Gertty and Midas got in fights all the time, but eventually they stopped and Midas seemed at the top of the pecking order this time. This morning when I was putting down some food for them, I heard some crowing. It was loud but loud enough. Midas was next to me, so I knew it couldn't be him. Later found out it was Gertrude. I know shes a hen, but how can I stop this crowing? We (as in me and my family) already know how to deal with Midas when he starts, but he hasn't started.

Well, I'm not in the right place to ask are you sure but, are you sure? The comb is small compared to Midas's, has very little wattle..
Comb type is different.
He has male saddling. It's not possible for him to be a girl.

I hope you can sort it out.
While that's a very handsome Egger cockerel, I have to say the Buff Orp is even more handsome.
