Crowing hen!

IMO no crow collars don't work and are cruel.
Is bringing him inside as a house chicken an option?
They make poultry diapers that are very efficient. They are a little unattractive so maybe adding a pretty dress would help.
You can still take him outside for fresh air and sunshine occasionally but maybe get a stroller so nosey neighbors can't get to close a look.
Just please don't rehome or eat this little guy. Just because he is a male doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to live.
Happy Roostering

All of them. But only 3 dozen or so get to go at a time.

Oh no! I can't keep a cockerel.
Perhaps I should get a nice no crow collar.
When I got my 1st chickens, a family friend had given me a pair of Barred Rock youngsters. The young Roo began crowing...quite loud. With new neighbors, even though it is zoned Agricultural, permitting chickens, I worried someone else may not like crowing at 5am. I bought the cute red bow tie crow collar. He wore it proudly & looked so handsome! But...let me tell ya, it doesn't stop crowing, it just makes him sound like he's gargling while crowing, so not only was he still loud, but it sounded worrisome! The bow tie is now tucked into the famous "junk drawer" every home has. What's interesting is, I now have 11 Roos! And none of them are even a fraction as loud as my original Rocky Roo, that boy has a set of lungs & can still outcrow the best of them in his old age. Lol!
Here's a pic of Rocky, (not his best as he's molting). He's approximately named, he can be a real ass kicker, although a bit slower in his old age, he will try to spur me & I catch him in mid air, once tucked in my arms he does his sweet coo sound then will sit on my lap for pets...a real Jekyll Hyde. Gotta love him.

I too have a very vocal hen, not exactly a crow, I don't know what you'd call it, but she surely does put her 2 cents in.
I guess trying to describe what Chanel says...so the typical hen talk is like "Bock, Bock, Bock" except hers can be a very loud, very long "Bahhhhhhhhhhck" and here is a pic of her doing it! See the open beak? I'm tellin ya, she was talking! She does it much more when molting, so I am thinking this must be how a hen bitches & complains!
Too funny!

Thankfully I'm rural and can stuff the yard with cockerels. I can deal with a crowing hen.
The neighbours can't complain - they're just as bad. Love listening to all their cockerels screeching away.

Mine are more in tune. Just saying.
Yes, personally I love the sound of crowing, it's even the ring tone on my phone! Music to my ears!
