The second is a cockerel. Pretty sure the hen isn't crowing. She's not got the correct stance.

I regret to inform you that....
hens can crow.
I have a Belgian bantam called Oreo. She his 100% hen. I know this because when she laid her first egg, I sat there cheering her on (). She has never tried mating or anything. But yet she will stand outside my window when I am trying to work....crowing.
